Executive Board

The Executive Board of SEIU local 2 BGPWU consists of the Officers, Cameron Nelson and Ted Mansell, together with following associates.

	David Bridger Branch Local President Local 1 LABATT – London London, ON “David started at Labatt’s London in 1989 and became a Union Steward for Local 1 in 1993. Since then he has held many roles including Grievance Chairman, Packaging Executive and Return to Work Chairman. David became President of Local 1 in January, 2008, and is the chair of the Brewery Worker Council.

	Mike McDonald, President Branch Local 244 Mike McDonald was a rank and file cupe 37 member in Calgary for 12 years before moving to BC. He joined SEIU Local 244 in 1991. In 1998 he became a member at large of the Executive Board of Local 244 before becoming president in 2000, Mike is currently: President of Branch Local 244 Trustee of Branch Local 244 Health and Welfare Plan Trustee of Multi-Sector Pension Plan An Executive Board member of Local 2 Relief Business Agent Ranking Officer for the BC Federation of Labour In his spare time sits as a provincial council delegate with the BC NDP.
John Goodden Chief Steward CANADIAN NATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR THE BLIND - General Unit Toronto, ON John has been an executive board or council member steadily since 1982/83, first with SEIU Local 204, then Local 1.ON and now Local 2, and he has been employed CNIB since December 1979 and a Chief Steward since 1981.

Richard Cedric Thibault Branch Local President SEIU Local 902 Halifax, NS I come from Nova Scotia's French shore. I am an LPN and have been nursing for 25 years. I joined SEIU in 1997, and was elected to the locals Executive Board in October of that year as three year trustee, I have remained on the board in many capacities and as the branch local's president I have had training in member organizing, media/public speaking I have taken workshops on negotiating, shop steward, facing management, to name a few. At my workplace I have been unit chair for 10 years, a shop steward and served on the negotiating team. I have been on the Nova Scotia Federation of Labour's anti-racism/human rights committee for 6 years. I am serving my second term as a worker rep. on the E.I.'s board of referees.

	Tony Anderson Branch Local President Local 528 WOODBINE ENTERTAINMENT GROUP Toronto, ON Tony Anderson has been at Woodbine Entertainment Group for approximately 8 years as a security officer, and a Steward for the last five. He became president of Branch Local 528 in 2006. He has been involved in various organizing issues with Local 2 Organizing Director Tom Galivan.
